Andreas Griesshammer began their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer at Sepaton, where they developed and maintained the Deduplication decision module and engine in C++. Andreas also conducted system tests for the Virtual Tape Library using Netbackup in a fiber channel environment. Andreas later took on the role of Principal Systems Engineer at Sepaton from February 2008 to September 2009.
In 2009, Andreas joined HP as a Software Engineer, where they developed and tested platform monitoring software on a Linux-based iSCSI SAN. Andreas also designed and developed a RAID CLI monitor using Python and C++ modules. Additionally, Andreas evaluated and supported next-generation servers and hardware at HP until June 2012.
Andreas then joined Qualcomm as a Senior Software Engineer in June 2012. In this role, they ported TD-SCDMA physical layer into an existing WCDMA test base station using C++. Andreas worked on an Agile/Scrum team and maintained a Git/Gerrit environment. Andreas remained with Qualcomm until November 2015.
From December 2015 to February 2017, Andreas worked at Formation Data Systems as a Member of Technical Staff. Their responsibilities included designing and developing a clustered software-defined storage platform. Andreas also designed and implemented an open-source API for third-party storage connectors using C++ and Thrift. Andreas rewrote the block layer and iSCSI connector to utilize the new API and conducted thorough unit tests using the Google Test and Google Mock framework.
Andreas then joined Boulder Labs in April 2017 as an Engineer Software. Andreas worked in this role until March 2021.
Currently, Andreas is employed at FieldLine Inc. as a Software Engineer, starting in March 2021.
Andreas Griesshammer attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering.
