Alex Culvin

Alex Culvin, PhD, is currently the Director of Global Policy and Strategic Relations at FIFPRO, where responsibilities include leading strategy and research initiatives for women's football and handling policy and player relations since October 2021. Simultaneously, Alex serves as an academic at Leeds Beckett University. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Lecturer at The University of Salford and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Durham University, focusing on qualitative research regarding women's experiences as football fans. Academic credentials encompass a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Sciences from the University of Central Lancashire, an MSc in Sociology from the University of Chester, and a Sports Development with Inclusion and P.E degree from Liverpool John Moores University. Alex also has a background as a professional footballer, having played for Bristol Academy FC and AZ Alkmaar.
