Simon Read

Simon Read has a diverse range of work experience in the legal and business affairs field. Simon currently holds the role of VP, Legal and Business Affairs at Fifth Season since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Legal and Business Affairs at ITV Studios Global Distribution for almost nine years, from August 2013 to April 2022. Before joining ITV, Simon worked as the Business Affairs Director at Walker Books for a short period from May 2013 to September 2013. Simon also has extensive experience as General Counsel for Flying Brands, a multi-channel retail business, from May 2009 to May 2013. Additionally, Simon held two roles at Telewest Broadband, where they served as Assistant General Counsel from August 2000 to July 2006 and as Legal Counsel from August 1998 to August 2000. Their early career included positions at BBC Worldwide as a Lawyer from February 1996 to August 1998, Dentons as a Trainee Solicitor from September 1993 to September 1995, and Holman Fenwick Willan LLP as a Paralegal from September 1990 to July 1991.

Simon Read completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge from 1987 to 1990. Simon then pursued further education at Northumbria University from 1991 to 1993, earning a commendation in CPE and honors in LSF.
