Danny Fisher

CEO at FilmRise

A veteran film and television producer, financier and distributor, Danny Fisher co-founded FilmRise, a leading film and TV distribution studio and streaming network. Danny developed a proprietary data analytics methodology that measures viewer demand for content. This resulted in Danny growing FilmRise from the basement of his Brooklyn residence in 2012 to the largest third party provider of content to streaming platforms today.

Titles licensed by FilmRise include the highly streamed shows Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack, Forensic Files, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, The Rifleman, and, most recently, Heartland. Popular movies include The Illusionist, Memento, Donnie Darko and recent Sundance winner The Miseducation of Cameron Post.

FilmRise releases content to Amazon Prime, The Roku Channel, Peacock, Pluto TV, IMDb TV, Crackle, Tubi and many more services, with over 40,000 hours of content in its library. Danny also created the FilmRise streaming network, which is the largest independently owned AVOD service in the U.S. FilmRise apps can be found on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Comcast, Vizio, Android, iOS and numerous other devices.

Prior to FilmRise, Danny was the CEO of City Lights Media, which created and produced numerous TV shows, including the hit show Chopped. He produced theatrical motion pictures, and was the executive producer of John Waters’ A Dirty Shame, starring Johnny Knoxville.

Danny has guided FilmRise to unprecedented growth; tens of thousands of FilmRise titles are currently streaming all over the world, and his company is a recognized leader in the ad-supported streaming space.
