Owen Vella

Owen Vella has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Owen started their career in 1996 at Malta Shipyards Ltd., specializing in the maintenance, installations, and repairs of marine gyro-compasses and autopilots. Owen then joined I.V. Portelli & Sons Ltd. as a Senior Technician from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, Owen joined Alberta as an Aftersales Service Coordinator and later became a Project Leader. Since 2014, they have been working at FIMBank plc, initially as a Facilities Officer, then as a Technical Officer in the Real Estate Department, and currently as a Corporate Client Relationship Manager (Assistant Vice President) in the same department.

Owen Vella's education history is as follows:

From 2015 to 2016, Owen attended MCAST Malta and obtained a Diploma in Project Management.

Prior to that, from 2011 to 2014, Owen studied at the University of Malta and earned a Higher National Diploma in Management and Business Administration.

Before their time at the University of Malta, Owen attended the same university from 2004 to 2006 and received a Higher Diploma in I.T.

Earlier in their education, from 1995 to 1999, Owen attended the Fellenberg Training Centre and obtained a Higher Diploma in Industrial Electronics.

In terms of additional certifications, Owen completed the course "Greening the Economy: Sustainable Cities" offered by Lund University on Coursera in June 2019. Owen also completed a course on "Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in November 2015.
