Valerie R. Nelson-Ray

Valerie R. Nelson-Ray has a diverse background and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2012, they worked as an Assistant Health Policy Analyst and later became an ORISE Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2013, they joined the Peace Corps as a Maternal and Child Health Extension Agent. Following that, Valerie worked at Epic as a Project Manager/Implementation Consultant from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Iodine Software as an Implementation Manager and then progressed to become a Program Manager and Development Project Manager, Senior Manager Program Management, and Director of the PMO and M&A Integration Manager. Valerie R. worked in various positions at Iodine Software until 2023. In the same year, they also started working as the Vice President of Business Operations at Finalsite and became a Member at Chief. Additionally, in 2021, Valerie served as a Student Consultant for the Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum at FHI 360. Their vast experience showcases their expertise in healthcare, project management, program management, and business operations.

In 2008, Valerie graduated from Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Their focus areas during their undergraduate studies were Anthropology (Medical), International Studies - Public Health, and Biology.

Valerie has also received several Epic certifications, including Beacon Oncology, EpicCare Ambulatory, and MyChart Patient Portal. These certifications were obtained from Epic in August 2014.
