Gavin Scott

Gavin Scott is a Digital Organiser at the Finance Sector Union of Australia since February 2021, focusing on digital campaigns for workers in the finance, superannuation, and insurance industries. As a Freelance Writer since January 2018, Gavin has contributed to New Matilda and Overland literary journal, writing on history, politics, and culture. Previous experiences include an internship at the Victorian Trades Hall Council, teaching English as a Second Language at INUS Australia, managing social media for Humanities 21, and serving as Office Manager for the Sports Environment Alliance Inc, where sustainability in sports was promoted. Gavin has also held positions as a Market Research Assistant and intern at various organizations, and worked as a PASS Leader at the University of Melbourne. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from the University of Melbourne and a CELTA qualification from RMIT English Worldwide.
