John Wood

John Wood is a seasoned senior development manager, currently with Financeit since April 2018, where responsibilities include managing direct reports, performance reviews, and hiring new developers. Previously, John held the position of director of software development, overseeing a team of 30 developers, and has a strong foundation as a lead developer at SapientRazorfish, where efforts focused on agile team management and coding standards. John began web development as a freelancer from 2005 to 2015, working with high-profile clients such as Walmart and Harley-Davidson. Earlier in their career, John served as athletic director at Muskoka Woods, managing over 30 programs and supervising 120 staff members. John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, completed in 2001.
