Christopher Hui currently serves as the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury for The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since April 2020. Prior to this role, Christopher held the position of Executive Director at the Financial Services Development Council from June 2019 to April 2020, and also contributed to public service on various committees and panels from April 1998 to April 2020, including the Listing Review Committee and the HKICPA Disciplinary Panel. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Strategic Development at New World Development Company Limited and holding multiple senior roles at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited from 2006 to 2018, where Christopher was instrumental in major projects such as the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. Christopher’s background also includes significant roles within Standard Chartered Bank and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. Academic qualifications comprise an MBA in Strategy and Finance from INSEAD, a BA and MA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford, and completion of the Stanford Executive Programme.
