Meredith McGriff has held various roles throughout their career. Starting in 2003 as a Graphic Designer for an unnamed company, they later worked as an Administrative Assistant for Middletown Studies. Meredith then transitioned to Ball State University, where they served as an Advising Assistant. In 2008, they joined Indiana University Bloomington, working in roles such as Administrative Assistant, Student Services Coordinator, and Associate Instructor. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Eskenazi Museum of Art and the Institute for Advanced Study. In 2014, they became a Director of Membership and Information Systems at the American Folklore Society. In 2018, they co-founded Hoosier Films and became its Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, in 2023, they became the Director of Technology and Communications at the Financial Women's Association.
Meredith McGriff obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramic Arts and Ceramics from Ball State University in 2007. During the same year, they also earned a Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language and Literature from the same institution. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Folklore Studies at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Folklore Studies from Indiana University Bloomington, which they obtained between 2014 and 2016.
