Christopher Laurent

Christopher Laurent has extensive experience in financial leadership roles. From 2022 onwards, they have been serving as the Chief Financial Officer at FINCA Impact Finance, overseeing the financial leadership of the microfinance network operating across 16 emerging markets. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2022, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at VisionFund International, where they were responsible for the financial leadership of the owner-operator microfinance network operating across 28 emerging markets. From 2007 to 2015, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at MicroVest Capital Management, LLC, a leading US impact investment manager. Christopher also had roles as Senior Business Development Officer and Investment Officer at MicroVest. Furthermore, they worked as an On-Site Operations Consultant at Programa de Desarrollo Agropecuario Integrado in 2006, and as the VP of Finance & Administration at Everdream Corporation from 1999 to 2005. Earlier in their career, they held the position of VP of Business Development, Credit & Underwriting at Bank of America Business Capital and worked as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Christopher Laurent completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 1987 to 1992. Christopher further pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Accounting from the same institution from 1989 to 1992.
