Daniele Fanara has a extensive work experience in the maritime industry, particularly in shipbuilding and project management. Daniele started their career as a Project Cost Controller at FINCANTIERI S.p.A. in 2000 and later served as a Proposal Engineer and Deputy Project Manager. Daniele then became the Head of Estimation Office of the Cruise and Ferry Business Unit and eventually the Purchasing Department Deputy Director. Daniele was also a Project Manager for high-value ship newbuilds, including the Royal Princess, Regal Princess, and P&O Ship. Daniele later held roles as Vice President of Marketing Sales for the Cruise and Ferry Business Unit, Senior Vice President of the Project Management Office for the Cruise and Ferry Business Unit, and Senior Vice President of Newbuilding China and Mega Yachts. In their most recent role, Daniele served as Senior Vice President of Newbuilding Merchant Ships, overseeing the construction of cruise vessels, ferries, and mega yachts, including those in a joint venture with China State Shipbuilding Corporation. Daniele was also a Board Director for Fincantieri CSSC Cruise Industry Ltd and Fincantieri Shanghai Trading Co. Ltd. Prior to joining FINCANTIERI, Daniele had a brief stint as an Application Consultant at COM Metodi S.p.A. in 1999.

Daniele Fanara earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from MIB Trieste School of Management in 2009. Prior to that, they attended MIP Politecnico di Milano in 1999 for a Logistic Process Engineer program focusing on "Modelli di Management e Sistemi ERP." Daniele completed their undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Università degli Studi di Udine from 1993 to 1998. Additionally, they attended Sapienza Università di Roma from 1991 to 1993, though the field of study is unspecified.
