Virender Sharma

Virender Sharma has over two decades of experience in the financial services and banking sectors, currently serving as the COO of Rural Banking & Institutional Finance at Fincare Small Finance Bank since May 2019, where key achievements include enhancing rural distribution networks. Prior to this role, Virender held the position of COO for JLG (Micro Banking & Individual Loans) at Swadhaar FinServe Pvt Ltd, contributing to strategic planning and operational management. As Zonal Head at Janalakshmi Financial Services, Virender established a new zone with 50 branches across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidharba. Earlier experiences include serving as Director at DigiVation Digital Solutions, Head of Credit Card Sales at Barclays Bank, and Vice President of Cards & Personal Loans at HSBC, among other roles. Educational qualifications include executive education from Harvard Business School and degrees from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and the Graduate School of Business Administration.
