James Diotte has held a variety of roles in the field of data science and machine learning. In 2021, they began working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Anomaly, a precision payments platform. In 2020, they were a Machine Learning Consultant at The Rockefeller Foundation, where they built a Twitter mining pipeline and helped the data science team with building machine learning models for analyzing remote sensing data. In 2017, they became a Data Scientist at Consumer Reports, where they developed an NLP engine and deep neural text classification models. James was also an intern at Consumer Reports in 2017. From 2016 to 2021, they were an Adjunct Lecturer at City College of New York. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Calculus Instructor at Columbia University in the City of New York. Finally, in 2015, they were an Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College.
James Diotte completed their Highschool Diploma at Ballston Spa High School in 2008. James then went on to obtain a BA in Mathematics from Columbia University in 2013. Following this, they obtained a Master of Philosophy - MPhil in Mathematics from The Graduate Center, City University of New York in 2018. Additionally, they obtained a HIPAA Certificate from Accountable HQ in October 2022.
