Claire Ostler has a diverse work history spanning over two decades. Claire began their career in 1996 as a Statistician at the Department of Trade & Industry in the UK, where they conducted economic research and analysis. Claire then transitioned to the UK Civil Service as a Fast Stream Graduate, during which they gained experience in various areas. Claire also worked as a Contracts Manager at The Cambridgeshire Partnership before moving on to founding and owning several successful businesses.
In 1999, Claire founded Menus.co.nz, an online Auckland Restaurant guide, and Acom Internet, a web design business. At Acom Internet, their responsibilities included financial management, office management, website content management, and marketing. Claire sold both businesses in 2001.
Following this, Claire became a founding member and owner of First Rate Ltd, New Zealand's top search marketing agency. As the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager, they were instrumental in the agency's success, leading to its sale for $3.8 million in 2007.
From 2009 to 2014, Claire served as the Digital Media & Website Manager at Great Sites, Australia and New Zealand's leading online competition reward program. Claire'srole involved the acquisition, engagement, retention, and support of over 500,000 members.
After Great Sites, Claire joined Cohort in 2014 as a Biddable Media Manager, responsible for consumer acquisition through biddable media channels across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The company operated over 20 consumer websites, generating targeted leads for various industries such as Insurance, Charity, Travel, and Retail. Claire stayed with Cohort until 2018.
Since 2018, Claire has been working as a Biddable Media Manager at finder.com, a global decision-making platform. Claire'srole involves assisting millions of people worldwide in making better decisions, such as finding a credit card, buying a home, and getting insurance. Claire's aim at finder.com is to simplify complex decisions and make them less tedious and boring for users.
Claire Ostler pursued their undergraduate studies from 1993 to 1996 at the University of Kent. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science.
