In 2012, they served as a Marketing and Press Officer at A News Thought, where they managed press relations, coordinated production teams, and developed marketing strategies.
From 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Editorial Intern at Black Tomato, writing web copy and editorial-style features for campaigns of clients such as Fairmont and Raffles Hotels.
In 2014, Bastock joined Lonely Planet as an Editorial and Community Assistant, responsible for copywriting, editing, and community interaction. Louise later became an Assistant Editor, commissioning and editing content for digital, print, and global campaigns.
In 2019, they worked as a Copywriter at Common Industry, where they wrote op-eds, press releases, and product content for FinTech, media, design, and entrepreneurial brands.
In the same year, they also worked as a Copywriter at David Lloyd Leisure, writing online copy for the company's websites across the UK and Europe.
Bastock continued their freelance career as a self-employed Content Creator, Copywriter, and Digital Content Strategist in 2019, working with leading brands like Lonely Planet, Lonely Planet Traveller magazine, Huffington Post, and Visit Britain.
Louise briefly worked as a Copywriter at David Lloyd Leisure in 2020 and a Freelance Scriptwriter at Lonely Planet the same year.
Currently, they are working at Finder as an Editor and Video Manager, overseeing video strategy and creating engaging content to grow the audience.
Louise Bastock attended The College of Richard Collyer from 2007 to 2009, where they pursued A Levels in English Literature (A), Psychology (A), History (B), and Biology (B). Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature at King's College London from 2009 to 2012. In 2017, they attended the London School of Journalism for a brief period to focus on subediting.
