Fran Martinez

Fran Martinez has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a J2EE Developer at Ctap / Centro Tecnológico Avanzado in 2005. Here, they contributed to the development of a web-based ERP software using J2EE, adding new functionalities and debugging existing ones.

In 2006, Fran joined DynaGent Software as a Software Architect. Fran was responsible for designing and developing a web application with ERP functionalities, specifically oriented towards Tablet/Mobile. Fran utilized JavaScript with jQuery and Backbone frameworks to implement client-side MVC pattern and RESTful architecture. Fran also leveraged HTML5 characteristics such as IndexedDB and appcache for offline functionality. Additionally, Fran played a key role in the development of Dynagent ERP, a web-based ERP software using JEE. As the lead front-end developer, they designed and developed the GUI, managed GUI-Rules engine communication, and implemented rules. Fran also actively participated in back-end developments using EJB for data management.

In 2014, Fran moved on to become a Senior Java Engineer at EUIPO (formerly OHIM). There, they worked on projects for the European Union agency, following the SCRUM methodology and implementing good coding practices previously configured on Sonar.

Since 2016, Fran has been a Senior Software Engineer at FINEOS. Fran is a member of the Technical Architecture team, working on the JEE FINEOS framework project. Their responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and supporting the core framework used by all company projects. Fran develops frontend and backend components using Java and JavaScript technologies, follows the SCRUM methodology, performs code reviews, triages support issues, and creates documentation. Fran also actively participates in meetings, provides knowledge sharing through presentations, and supports other team members. Fran utilizes various tools and technologies, including SVN, GIT, Gradle, Jenkins, and Jira.

Fran Martinez has pursued a comprehensive education in the field of computer engineering. Fran first completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad de Almería, attending from 1999 to 2003. Fran then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in the same field from the same university, studying from 2003 to 2006.

In 2009, Fran Martinez decided to expand their knowledge beyond computer engineering and pursued a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management of Information Systems and Technology. Fran attended Universidad de Sevilla and completed this program in 2010.

To further enhance their expertise, Fran Martinez undertook an MSc in Cyber Security from the National College of Ireland from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Fran Martinez has obtained several certifications. Fran became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) through Amazon Web Services in January 2020. In July 2017, they attained the Competent Leader certification from Toastmasters International UK & Ireland, and in March 2016, they achieved the Competent Communicator certification from Toastmasters International. Furthermore, Fran Martinez obtained an Advanced Certificate in English (C1, CAE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in May 2014.
