Pauliina Pulkkinen has a diverse work experience in communications and journalism. Pauliina started their career as a Journalist at Helsingin Sanomat in 1998, where they covered domestic and international news, politics, finance, and economics. Pauliina later became a News Editor, a Correspondent, and finally a Finance & Economic Journalist. In 2012, they joined Kansallinen Kokoomus as the Head of Communications. After that, they worked as the Head of Communications and PR at the Finnish Medical Association from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Communications and Public Relations at the Finland Chamber of Commerce kauppakamari.

Pauliina Pulkkinen completed their Master of Social Sciences degree with majors in Journalism at the University of Tampere from 1992 to 1998. During this time, they also pursued minors in Political Science and Environmental Studies. In 1995 and 1996, they attended The University of Texas at Austin where they focused on Journalism and Politics. In 1997, Pauliina briefly studied French Language at Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle III. Pauliina later enrolled at the University of Helsinki in 2005 and 2006, where they delved into European Studies/Civilization, although no degree was specified for this period.
