Florian Ploghaus

Florian Ploghaus has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Florian is currently employed at Finlex GmbH as the Strategy Manager & Assistant Vice President, LoB Cyber. In 2021, they founded their own company, Desinity UG, where they served as the Founder & CEO. At Desinity UG, Florian was responsible for various tasks, including handling accounting and sales software, developing marketing strategies, and coordinating with partners.

Florian also worked as the Founder's Associate at Oatsome and nourisha in 2022. At Oatsome, they focused on identifying growth potential outside of the core business, developing new business areas and models, and implementing optimization strategies. At nourisha, Florian was involved in the conceptual design and coordination of subscription models, developing strategic marketing recommendations, and partially automating accounting processes.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Florian worked at Oatsome GmbH as a Business Development & Finance professional. Florian played a crucial role in internationalizing the company and brand, conducting market tests, and coordinating the roll-out of projects in the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Florian also gained experience at ING Deutschland and ING Austria. At ING Deutschland, they worked as a Business Development Manager in Mortgage Finance from 2019 to 2020. Before that, they served as a Cooperative Education Student from 2016 to 2019. During their time at ING Austria in 2018, Florian completed a practical phase abroad.

Florian Ploghaus has a diverse education history with a focus on business and management. In 2016, they began their undergraduate studies at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Banking. Florian successfully completed their bachelor's program in 2019.

In 2018, Florian had the opportunity to study abroad at UC Santa Barbara for a semester as part of an exchange program. During this time, they explored the fields of Economics and Leadership.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Florian continued their academic journey by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Management at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2020 to 2021.

Currently, Florian is enrolled in the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, where they are working towards a Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship. This program started in 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Florian Ploghaus obtained a certification in TOEFL iBT, C1 with a score of 112 points from ETS in October 2020.
