Prateek Sodhi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Prateek began their career as an Assistant Manager of Events Sales at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in 2009 and worked there until 2011. In 2012, Prateek joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts for their Student Work Experience Program until 2013. Prateek then moved on to TD Waterhouse Capital Markets as the Northern Alberta Regional Specialist for Direct Investing from 2013 to 2017. Prateek then worked as a Corporate Currency Risk Manager at EncoreFX from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they transitioned to a role at the Creative Destruction Lab as a Startup Advisor for a Capstone Project until 2020. Prateek further expanded their experience by joining Alberta Enterprise Corporation in 2021 as an Associate for Fund Investments in the VC Asset Class. Finally, in 2022, they co-founded Finofo and assumed the role of CEO.
Prateek Sodhi has a diverse education history. Prateek began their studies in 2006 at the Indira Gandhi National Open University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality Business Administration. Prateek completed this degree in 2009, focusing on Business Administration and Management.
Later, in 2016, Prateek enrolled at the University of Alberta to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). Prateek specialized in Risk Management, Predictive Analytics, and VC Finance during their time in this program, which they completed in 2020.

Prateek also completed the Venture Capital Executive Program from UC Berkeley Executive Education in 2021. Finally, Prateek holds several certifications in the field of finance and investments from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), including the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course (DFOL), Financial Modeling, Investment Representative Training Program, Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH), and the Canadian Securities Course. Prateek obtained these certifications between 2016 and 2017.
