Molly Willats has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Molly is currently a Member of the FCAC Research Committee on Financial Literacy, where they advise on the implementation of the National Financial Literacy Strategy and promotes research findings within the research community. Prior to this, they were the Head of Financial Health Strategy and Ontario Lead at Fintech Cadence, and a founding team member of IFH Lab by Fintech Cadence, Canada's first incubator for impact-driven fintech startups. In their role at IFH Lab, Molly was responsible for designing and delivering programs, selecting startups, and coordinating relationships with industry experts and stakeholders. Molly also has experience as a Program Coordinator at the Metcalf Foundation, Community Engagement Outreach Team member at Brook Pooni Associates Inc, Program Coordinator at the Ontario Principals' Council, and Event Planner for the University of Toronto's Graduate Geography and Planning Student Association. Molly has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto and as a Constituency and Administrative Assistant for Ward 13 at the City of Toronto.
Molly Willats completed their Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography from the University of Toronto from 2008 to 2013. Molly then went on to pursue their Master of Arts in Geography and Planning from the same university, which they completed from 2014 to 2017.
