Gemma Hallett has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 as an Associate Lecturer at the University of South Wales. In 2014, they became a SkySports Rugby Contributor, and in 2015 they were a Non-Technical Founder for miFuture App and a Founder for miFuture Foundation. In 2017, they became a Coach and Mentor for the School of Hard Knocks Charity's Wales Schools Programme. In 2019, they became a Big Ideas Wales Role Model and a member of the Tech Valleys Strategic Advisory Group. In 2020, they were a Business Group Advisor for CWVYS (Council for Wales of Voluntary Youth Services). In 2021, they became the Head of Skills for FinTech Wales, and a Co Host for the Back The Girls Podcast.
Gemma Hallett has a varied educational background. In 2014, they obtained a (UGM) Identifying and Assessing Business Ideas degree from the University of South Wales in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. From 2006 to 2008, they obtained a PGCE from the University of South Wales in Post Graduate Certificate in Education. From 2001 to 2005, they obtained a BA (Hons) Leisure and Sports Management with Sports Studies from the University of Central Lancashire in Management. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as a Level 3 Personal Training Instructor from CYQ in 2014, a Level 2 Gym Instructor from CYQ in 2013, a Sports Leaders Tutor Training from Sports Leaders UK in 2012, a WRU Level 2 Coaching Rugby Union from Sports Coach UK & WRU in 2012, a WRU Level 1 Coaching Rugby Union from Sports Coach UK & WRU in 2010, a WRU Tag Leaders Award from Sports Coach UK & WRU in 2010, and a Sports Leaders UK Tutor from Sports Leaders UK.
