Rasha Hosny

Rasha Hosny is a seasoned film industry professional with extensive experience as a program director, film programmer, and producer. Holding the position of Program Director for Horizons of Arab Cinema at the Cairo International Film Festival since July 2016, Rasha has also contributed to programming Asian, North and Latin American films, and managing midnight screenings. Rasha serves as a Script Reader and a Script Editor Trainee at TorinoFilmLab and is an Associate Film Programmer for the Tribeca Festival, focusing on submissions from Africa and the Middle East. Involved with the Egyptian Film Critics Association since May 2016, Rasha has held roles as Head of the Board and Deputy. Additional roles include being a film critic for Finoon Magazine and FIPRESCI, film programmer for the Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries & Shorts, and competition section advisor for the 9th Silk Road International Film Festival. Rasha Hosny possesses a diploma in Film Criticism and a Bachelor's degree in Egyptology from Ain Shams University.
