Matt Donaldson

Matt Donaldson is an experienced professional in geospatial data management, currently serving as the Geospatial Data and Platform Manager at Fire and Emergency New Zealand since October 2016. In this role, responsibilities include overseeing geospatial architecture, data capture, management, systems integrations, and GIS applications. Prior to this, Matt held various positions at New Zealand Fire Service, including Team Leader of Spatial Intelligence and Senior Analyst for Evidence-Based Resourcing, where strategic analyses informed resource allocation. Earlier career experiences include roles at Bank of New Zealand and Cigna. Matt's educational background includes multiple Bachelor of Arts degrees in History from Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Otago, along with a Diploma in Information Technology from Spherion Education.
