Psychedelic Peer Support Volunteer at Fireside Project

Suzanne Hanlon is an experienced professional dedicated to providing support and assistance in mental health and wellness. Currently serving as a Psychedelic Peer Support Volunteer at Fireside Project since March 2022, Suzanne focuses on helping individuals safely navigate their psychedelic experiences through compassionate and culturally responsive peer support. As a student at Lakehead University since September 2018, Suzanne has developed a strong educational foundation. Previous experience includes working as a Crisis Responder for Kids Help Phone from August 2020 to September 2021, where active listening and collaborative problem-solving were utilized to assist individuals in distress. Additionally, Suzanne held the position of Assistant Director for THRIVE at Urban Abbey from October 2016 to June 2018, overseeing a holistic health program for pregnant young women and their infants facing substance use challenges. Education credentials include training from The Synthesis Institute from April 2021 to April 2022 and ongoing studies at Lakehead University.
