Willo Hooper

Willo Hooper has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2008, they started their career as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland. They then worked as a Case Manager at the Ministry of Social Development from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they served as a Website Content Manager at STACK Business Interiors in 2014 and were responsible for maintaining the company's website and social media channels.

In 2015, Willo Hooper joined Putti as a Full Stack Web Developer and led the development of a SaaS form builder, working extensively with the LAMP stack and Laravel framework. They also integrated the product with internal and external APIs.

In 2018, they became a Lead Developer and Tech Marketing Specialist at Silicon Power, where they designed and rebuilt large-scale, multi-language websites and implemented UX design. Later the same year, they joined FOX-TECH CO. as a Full Stack Developer and acted as the team leader for the development of an IoT platform.

From 2020 to 2021, Willo Hooper worked as a Senior Developer Team Lead at Putti Apps, leading a team of developers and engaging in DevOps, project management, and customer engagement. Most recently, they joined Firmsy in 2022 as a Senior Developer.

Throughout their career, Willo Hooper has gained expertise in various technologies such as Laravel, Node, Vue, Angular, and WordPress. They have experience in planning, managing, designing, and developing projects, including marketing sites, PWA applications, SEO improvements, SaaS apps, and bespoke sites. They have also demonstrated skills in project management, code reviews, and customer engagement.

Willo Hooper pursued their education by first attending The University of Auckland from 2007 to 2009. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Philosophy and Maths. Later in 2014, Willo attended Yoobee School of Design and completed a Diploma in Web Development.
