Dennis Miranda

Dennis Miranda has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Dennis currently holds the position of Lead Software Engineer at First American Title, where they have been working since March 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company from March 2012 until their promotion. During their time at First American Title, Dennis played a significant role in developing and maintaining the Underwriting Workbench (UWB), a web portal for underwriters. Dennis utilized various technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, C#, SharePoint, SQL Server, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JSON, AJAX, Knockout JS, Web Services, and Javascript libraries.

Before joining First American Title, Dennis worked as a Software Engineer (contractor) at QBE FIRST for a few months in 2011. Dennis also gained experience as an Independent Software Developer and Consultant at Miranda Consulting, where they focused on developing software solutions using Microsoft .NET technology for the Direct Mail, Marketing, and Printing industries.

Prior to their consultancy work, Dennis served as a Software Engineer and IT Manager at AMI (now OCDM) from August 2008 to February 2011. Dennis took on the role of Systems & Development Manager at Direct List Technology, Inc. from October 2000 to July 2008. Before that, they were the Data Processing Manager at A-Plus Direct Inc. from June 1996 to September 2000.

Dennis began their career in 1989 as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing. Dennis later worked as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at Mailing and Marketing, Inc. before moving on to other roles in the industry.

Dennis Miranda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University-Dominguez Hills. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a FinOps Certified Practitioner from the FinOps Foundation in October 2023.
