Nolen Akerman

Nolen Akerman is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in data analysis, predictive analytics, and IT project management. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at First Analytics since June 2021, Nolen previously held the position of Principal Data Scientist at Kellogg Company from July 2010 to April 2021, where responsibilities included implementing IT systems and managing business analysis activities to drive insights from consumer and quality data. Nolen's career also includes significant roles at Stryker Medical, such as Associate Director of Electrical and Software Engineering, where oversight of global software and engineering teams was a focus. In addition to industry experience, Nolen has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Western Michigan University, teaching various engineering and management courses. Nolen holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in the same field from Western Michigan University.
