Sophie Lin

Sophie Lin is a skilled professional with diverse experience across various roles, currently serving on the Support Team and as an Instructor and Hospitality Staff at First Ascent Climbing & Fitness since October 2022. In this position, Sophie engages groups of students in rock climbing, addresses customer queries, and collaborates on lesson plans. Previously, Sophie trained as a UX/UI Designer at Thinkful, where user research informed design decisions for various projects, including a mobile bus application and a consumer-facing app. As a Project Manager at Pioneer Engineering & Environmental Services, LLC, Sophie managed multiple environmental assessments and communicated effectively with clients and authorities. Experience also includes coaching high school students as a STEM Scholar Coach at the Schuler Scholar Program and working as an Environmental Sanitarian, conducting inspections to uphold food safety and public health standards. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan.
