Charlene Davidson

Charlene Davidson has extensive work experience in various roles. Charlene most recently served as Chief People Officer at First Credit Union, starting in January 2021. Before that, they held the position of VP, HR & Governance from January 2021 to March 2023. From September 2017 to December 2020, they worked as VP, Risk & Corporate Governance, where they were responsible for strategic initiatives, risk management, and governance practices. Prior to this, Charlene worked as Manager of Risk & Corporate Governance from January 2014 to September 2017. Charlene also worked at First Credit Union as a Marketing & Communications Specialist from October 2007 to September 2014 and as a Financial Services Representative from January 2006 to October 2007. In addition to their time at First Credit Union, Charlene served as a Strategic Communications Consultant at Straightforward Marketing & Communications Solutions from January 2011 to December 2018, where they provided strategic consulting services for various business owners.

Charlene Davidson (she/her) obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University in 2014. In 2019, they completed a Certificate in Advanced Management from the UBC Sauder School of Business, specializing in an Executive Education Program. Additionally, Charlene earned a Certificate in Risk Management from McMaster University Continuing Education in 2017. Charlene also completed the Desktop & Web Publishing Workshops Program at Vancouver Island University in 2009 and studied Marketing and Sales Management at the Credit Union Institute of Canada from 2007 to 2008. Charlene has acquired additional certifications, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University (expected completion in 2023), and they are a CPHR Candidate through CPHR BC & Yukon (obtained in January 2020).
