Stephen Lines has extensive work experience in the field of environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory affairs. Stephen started their career in 2001 at Environmental Assessment and Permitting, where they worked on various projects including the Hardrock Gold Project and Ulu Advanced Exploration. In 2007, they became a partner at Tunaley Lines & Associates, specializing in environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory affairs. From 2014 to 2018, Stephen worked at Greenstone Gold Mines as an Environmental Assessment and Permitting Manager and later as the Director of Environment and Community Relations. Since December 2020, they have been working as the Vice President of Environment and Community Relations at First Mining Gold Corp.
Stephen Lines has a Master's Degree in Environmental Impact Assessment from the University of Calgary. Stephen also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in EIA with a focus on Environmental Impact Assessment from Concordia University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Ecology from Concordia University. In 2001-2002, Stephen participated in the Master's Biology Program at Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. In addition, they have received the certification of Professional Biologist from the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists.
