James Percy Hughes

James Percy-Hughes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations management within the mining and hydrogen sectors. Currently serving as the VP of Operations at First Mode since January 2023, James previously held various leadership positions at Anglo American from 2005 to January 2023, including Head of Operations for Hydrogen on a global scale, as well as roles in mining operations and projects across the UK and Australia. Prior to that, James gained valuable experience in quarry operations and management at Hanson from September 2002 to January 2005. James holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Leeds, completed from 1999 to 2002.
