Mike Penrod

Mike Penrod is the current Director of IT at First Naples. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the IT field, starting as a technician and working their way up to management positions. At First Naples, they are responsible for overseeing the IT department and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly.

Prior to joining First Naples, Mike was the Network Administrator IV at Making Everlasting Memories, where they were responsible for moving customer-facing servers to AWS and managing the network setup (Cisco switches, Fortigate), maintenance, and troubleshooting. Mike also handled systems administration for Windows Server, SQL, some Linux, SAN, etc.

Before their time at Making Everlasting Memories, Mike worked as a Network Administrator at Robert Half Technology on a contract-to-hire basis. And before that, they were the Network Services Manager at Cincinnati Christian University, where they oversaw the network administration, PBX administration, Exchange administration, and Server administration.

Mike began their IT career as a technician at Bell Industries in 1997, where they performed PC/APPLE/Printer break-fix, on-sight support, and some network and server support.

Mike Penrod has a MAC from Cincinnati Christian University in Counseling, a BS from Cincinnati Christian University in Bible with a Psych minor, and an Associate of Science - AS from Purdue University in Computer Technology. Mike also has certification from Amazon Web Services in AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

Mike Penrod reports to John Patterson, Pastor of Media Ministry. Mike Penrod works with Daniel bernhardt - IT Technician, Tyler Woods - Technology Ministry Technician.
