Nysia George has a strong background in data science and statistical analysis. Nysia has held various positions of increasing responsibility and authority, including Director of Data Science at First Orion. In this role, they oversee the activities of junior data scientists and provides advanced expertise in statistical and mathematical concepts. Nysia has also served as an Associate Director and Team Lead, where they played integral roles in client support, team performance monitoring, and thought leadership.
Additionally, Nysia has experience as a Consultant at Broken Arrow Crop Insurance, where they developed an innovative Python GUI to recommend optimal risk management policies for agricultural producers. Nysia has also worked as a Mathematical Statistician at the National Center for Toxicological Research (FDA), addressing research goals across various scientific disciplines using bioinformatics tools and machine learning algorithms.

Nysia George obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M University in 2003. Nysia then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Statistics from the same university, which they completed in 2005. Nysia further continued their education at Texas A&M University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Statistics in 2008.
