John Koerselman has a diverse work experience. John started as the President and CEO at First National Bank of Sioux Center in 1996, where they led the organization and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. John then moved on to become the CEO and Chairman of the Board at Pender State Bank in 2003. In this role, they provided overall leadership to the bank and trained the staff to manage the bank profitably upon their departure. John currently serves on the Board of Directors at Pender State Bank and is a member of the Loan Committee and Asset and Liability Management Committee. In 2013, they joined First Reformed Church as the Director of Care Elders, implementing a new program and establishing a congregational care program that extended into the community.
John Koerselman attended Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, from 1966 to 1968, where they studied business. John then transferred to Iowa State University and earned their Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education from 1971 to 1974.
