Bart Verbeke

Bart Verbeke has extensive work experience in the logistics industry. Bart began their career at P&O Ferrymasters, where they held various roles including Business Development Manager, General Manager of the Intermodal Division, and Executive Director of the Intermodal Division. During their time at P&O Ferrymasters, they were responsible for customer service operations, implementing new IT systems, and achieving financial targets. Bart also played a key role in market and product development, increasing revenue for the company.

Verbeke later joined Citland International as the Director of Commercial and Global Operations. In this role, they managed global offices, joint ventures, and distributors/agents. Bart was involved in business development and key account management for global accounts in the mining and oil & gas industries.

Currently, Verbeke is working at First Solar as the Head of Global Logistics. Bart has experience in managing global logistics organizations and is responsible for overseeing global logistics spend. Bart has developed strategies for transportation and warehousing, as well as conducted negotiations and contract reviews. Verbeke has been accountable for global freight and warehouse spend, and has implemented sourcing strategies to achieve the highest quality, reliability, and value.

Bart Verbeke attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1993 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science in Business Administration. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1992, they pursued a Masters degree in Economics at Belgium Jobs. Verbeke's earlier education includes attending Sint Fransiscus Xaveriusinstituut from 1979 to 1985, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
