Mark Richards

Mark Richards is a seasoned professional in information security and risk management, currently serving as a Senior Solutions Architect at First Solar since January 2023. Prior experience includes directing security operations at LaScala IT, where Mark assisted small to mid-sized organizations in assessing security risks and achieving compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC standards. During an earlier tenure at First Solar, from 2008 to 2020, Mark held roles as Manager of Information Security and Information Security Architect, where responsibilities included managing a global Security Operations Center and developing the company's inaugural Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan. Additional experience encompasses infrastructure architecture for Ford Motor Company and systems architecture at La-Z-Boy Incorporated. Mark holds an Associate of Applied Business in Network and Information System Support from Owens Community College.
