Joe Burns

Joe Burns has extensive experience in auditing and financial management, currently serving as the Chief Audit Officer and Controller at First South Farm Credit since April 2020. Prior to this role, Joe held multiple positions at Carr, Riggs & Ingram from June 2016 to April 2020, including Senior Audit Manager and Audit Supervisor. Joe also worked at Postlethwaite & Netterville as a Senior Auditor from June 2014 to June 2016 and began a career in accounting at T. E. Lott & Company, CPA's, as a Staff Accountant from August 2012 to June 2014. Joe's experience in the field began with an internship at Matthews, Cutrer & Lindsay, P.A. in late 2011. Joe holds a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University, completed in 2012 and 2011, respectively.
