Don Lloyd

Don Lloyd is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quantitative model validation and risk management, currently serving as a Senior Quantitative Model Validation Analyst in Model Risk Management at First Tech Federal Credit Union since March 2019. In this role, Don has modernized model risk capabilities and developed policies aligning with regulatory guidance. Concurrently, Don has been a Board Director, Treasurer, and volunteer at Cascade Forest Conservancy since April 2020, where involvement began in 2019 to gain insight into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest ecosystems. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Leader and Principal Quantitative Analyst at the Institute for Defense Analyses from August 2003 to March 2019, focusing on multidisciplinary research and operational risk assessments. Don holds a PhD in Astronomy/Astrophysics from Harvard University and dual degrees in Physics (B.A. and M.S.) from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
