Derek Norberg

Derek Norberg is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in sports administration and operations. Currently serving as the Executive Director for First Tee - Virginia Blue Ridge since August 2021, Derek has a proven track record in managing facility operations, enhancing fan experience, and fostering partnerships. Prior roles include Stadium Operations Manager at Tri-City ValleyCats and various positions within First Tee organizations, where Derek developed strategic initiatives, managed fundraising efforts exceeding $300,000 annually, and expanded outreach to thousands of youth. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Flagler College and an Associate of Arts in Physical Education & Sport Management from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill.
