Lila Mowatt has a diverse and extensive work experience in various nonprofit organizations. Lila currently serves as the Director of Development and Community Relations at FIRST Washington. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Philanthropy at Washington DECA where they managed an annual campaign of $1.6 million and led the development vision for the organization. From 2018 to 2020, Lila served as the Executive Director of MRW Alliance and successfully managed both a nonprofit and a political action committee. At Israeli-American Council (IAC), they were the Regional Director of Outreach and Strategy, responsible for major gift prospecting and providing guidance for the organization's annual National Conference. Lila's previous roles also include Regional Director at AJC: Global Jewish Advocacy, Washington & Oregon Leadership Management Director at AIPAC, and Director of Donor Relations at Kinneret College. Lila has demonstrated skills in fundraising, campaign management, public relations, and communications strategy. Lila began their career as the Programme Director at Galilee International Management Institute and as the Interim Director of Hillel at Louisiana State University.
Lila Mowatt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from New York University. Lila pursued further education at the University of Haifa, earning a Master of Arts degree in History.
