Michael Bluvas

Michael Bluvas is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in banking, insurance, and education. Currently serving as Assistant Controller at First Westroads Bank since June 2022, Michael directs the reporting and control process while emphasizing team building. Previous roles include Licensed Insurance Agent at Bankers Life, focusing on retirement planning and team development, and Supervisor-Finance at Mutual of Omaha, where Michael guided the Budget Team. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Financial Analyst at Omaha Public Power District, managing the District Financial Model, and teaching financial accounting and managerial accounting courses at both Bellevue University and the University of Phoenix. Michael holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance and two Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance from Bellevue University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, respectively.
