David Morrison has over 20 years of experience in the financial and real estate industries. David began their career as an Analyst at Colliers International, where they supported the office leasing team and assisted in the development of a new leasing software program.
Afterward, they joined Hemson Consulting Ltd. as an Analyst, primarily focusing on appraisal work for real estate projects. David then moved to CIBC, where they worked as a Commercial Real Estate Analyst.
In 1999, David joined Merrill Lynch, where they managed the company's on-book commercial loans and played a key role in running commercial mortgage-backed securitizations. During their time there, they also developed the large loan program.
In 2009, they joined Bank of America as the Manager of Commercial Mortgages, overseeing the management and underwriting of commercial loan portfolios. David later joined Institutional Mortgage Capital as the Fund and Securitization Manager, responsible for managing client investments in mortgage funds and executing securitizations.
Currently, David works at First National Financial LP as the Senior Director of Credit Adjudication for Commercial Mortgages. In this role, they review and evaluates commercial loan applications and helps develop new business lines and strategies for the company and its partners.
David Morrison attended Western University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Development. Prior to their university education, David attended Forest Heights Collegiate Institute. In addition to their academic achievements, David also holds certifications as a Mortgage Agent and Mortgage Broker from the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
