John Widmer

Prior to joining FirstPathway Partners, John Widmer spent 17 years at Strong Financial Corporation where he held the positions of Treasurer and other senior management roles. Strong was a parent holding company with businesses in the financial services industry, including investment management, brokerage, transfer agency, and 401(k) recordkeeping and managed up to $48 billion of assets. While at Strong, Widmer was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting, financial analysis, and managing banking relationships, as well as having significant involvement in operations, acquisitions & divestitures, and real estate transactions.

John Widmer is a Certified Public Accountant who began his career at Arthur Andersen where he spent 10 years servicing audit and consulting clients.

Widmer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
