Layne Somsen

Layne Somsen is an experienced professional in the sports and benefits advisory sectors, currently serving as a Benefits Advisor at Acrisure since February 2020. In addition to this role, Layne has been the Assistant Director of Player Development for the Sioux Empire Baseball Association since October 2018. Prior experience includes playing as a professional athlete for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds, as well as a Player Development Intern with the New York Yankees. Layne also held a coaching position as an Assistant Baseball Coach at the University of Sioux Falls. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from South Dakota State University.
