Dr. Ferna Phillips has extensive work experience in the field of education and accessibility services. Dr. Ferna currently holds the position of Director of the Office of Student Accessibility Services at Fisher College since January 2020. Prior to this role, they briefly served as the Director of Fisher College in January 2020.
From 2016 to 2020, Dr. Phillips worked as the Assistant Director of the Office of Student Accessibility Services at Fisher College. Before joining Fisher College, they worked as a Vocational Counselor at the Center for Career Development and Ministry from 2014 to 2016.
In 2014, they also served as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Fisher College. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Education from 2013 to 2014, where they supervised education and sociology majors in field practicum experiences and provided academic and coursework advising.
Before their time at Boston University, Dr. Phillips was an Independent Consultant from 2011 to 2012, where they served as an Educational, Leadership Development and Human Resource Consultant, as well as an Academic Advisor.
Dr. Phillips' early experience includes their position as the Director of Learning Resources for Student-Athletes at Boston College from 1999 to 2010.

Dr. Ferna Phillips holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Dr. Ferna also obtained a Masters' of Education degree in Counseling from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Salem State University.
