Hirak Shah

Hirak Shah serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legal Counsel for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, advising the Senate Minority Leader on legal and policy matters and managing the Senate Minority's policy agenda. With extensive experience in legislative processes, Hirak has held various legal positions within the Senate, including Legal Counsel and Director of Legislation, and has authored significant legislation. Additionally, Hirak is an Adjunct Professor at both Massachusetts School of Law and Fisher College, teaching courses related to legal writing and the American legal system. Previous roles include a Product Advisor at Microsoft and a Contract Attorney at The Debt Exchange, along with several internships and legal positions throughout the education and legal landscape. Hirak holds a Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
