Kerri Childress

Kerri Childress has had a diverse and extensive work experience spanning across various organizations. Kerri started their career as a journalist in the US Navy from 1972 to 1977. Kerri then worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Director of National Communications from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they joined the VA Palo Alto Health Care System as the Director of Communications and Congressional Liaison from 2004 to 2012. Kerri then moved on to become the Director of Health System Communications at the Department of Veterans Affairs from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they served as the Communications Director for the National Institutes of Child Health & Human Development. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Communications at the Fisher House Foundation since 2014.

Kerri Childress obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Maryland, where they attended from 1979 to 1983. Later on, they pursued a Masters Degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication at American University, completing it from 1994 to 1996.
