Barry Woods has been working in the field of youth development since 2003. Barry began their career as a Mentor/Life Skills Coach/Site Coordinator for the Stamford BOE ART's Program. In 2006, they moved to Domus Kids as a Domus Community Teen Coordinator. From 2010 to 2016, they were the Outreach Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. In 2015, they became the Lead Trainer and Mentor for the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation, where they were responsible for Ambassador training, youth voice projects, youth leadership development, community program implementation and design. In 2016, they moved back to the Stamford Boys and Girls Club as the Young Adult Program Director, developing programs that support teens and young adults ages 17 to 28.
Barry Woods obtained a Master's degree in Human Services, General from Walden University between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a BS in Business from Southern Connecticut State University between 1996 and 2000. In 2017, Barry Woods obtained a Gold Coaching Certification from the USA BASKETBALL COACHING ACADEMY in the field of Youth Basketball.
