Matthew Thurston has over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. Matthew is currently the Head of Retail & Event Design at FitFlop. Before that, they served as the Global Head of Creative Services at Hackett London, where they managed a global creative team and played a key role in the acquisition and improvement of the Faconnable brand. Prior to that, they were the European Head of Visual at Calvin Klein PVH, where they led strategic visual merchandising and creative projects. Matthew also worked as a European Visual Project Co-Coordinator at Timberland and as a Senior Visual Merchandiser at Paul Smith Ltd. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Designer at Circle Line Design Studio and Brewster Ltd. Throughout their career, Matthew has excelled in delivering innovative and high-quality work, building teams, and driving brand success.
Matthew Thurston attended Chantry High School from 1990 to 1995 for their secondary education. Matthew then went on to complete a Foundation degree at Chantry Sixth Form Centre from 1995 to 1997. Matthew later attended University College Suffolk from 1997 to 1998 for a Btec foundation art & design program. Matthew then pursued Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University from 1998 to 2002, earning a BA Hons degree with a specialization in Print.
